सिरसा जिला की सुधरती लॉ एंड आर्डर की स्थिति का भान सिरसावासियों को होने लगा है। इसके पीछे पुलिस कप्तान डा. अर्पित जैन की मेहनत और उनका जुनून है।वे दिनभर ड्यूटी करने के बावजूद रात्रि में भी लॉ एंड आर्डर की स्थिति जांचने के लिए निकल पड़ते है। अमूमन वे सिविल ड्रेस में निकलते है ताकि आम आदमी की भांति पुलिस के व्यवहार से वाकिफ हो सकें। यह जान सके कि पुलिस स्टॉफ नियमों की पालना कर रहा है या नहीं। आमजन से पुलिस स्टॉफ का कैसा व्यवहार है।डा. अर्पित जैन ने पुलिस के मायने ही बदल डाले है। पूर्व में जहां पुलिस को लेकर आमजन की छवि कुछ ओर ही थी। लोगों में अविश्वास की भावना घर कर गई थी। मगर, डा. जैन ने अपनी कार्यशैली से इसमें आमूलचूल परिवर्तन किया है। उन्होंने पुलिस महकमे में भी भारी बदलाव लाने का कार्य किया। पुलिस अधिकारियों व कर्मचारियों की भी जवाबदेही तय की है। मातहत अधिकारियों को टास्क दिया गया है और लक्षित परिणाम हासिल करने वालों को प्रोत्साहित किया जाता है और ढुलमुल रवैया अपनाने वालों को जिम्मेवारी से मुक्त कर दिया जाता है।पुलिस अधीक्षक डा. अर्पित जैन की कार्यशैली का ही परिणाम है कि पुलिस की जन-जन में पैठ बनी है, वहीं असामाजिक तत्वों में पुलिस का भय व्याप्त होने लगा है। अपराधियों को यह ज्ञात हो गया है कि सिरसा अब उनके लिए सुरक्षित नहीं रहा। अपराध करके सिरसा में छिप पाना संभव नहीं होगा। डा. जैन की अगुवाई में जिला के कर्तव्यनिष्ठ व ईमानदार पुलिस अधिकारी भी अपना बेहतरीन परिणाम देने में जुटे हुए है। बेहतरीन तालमेल का ही परिणाम है कि पुलिस की सफलता का ग्राफ लगातार बढ़ता जा रहा है। सफेदपॉश अपराधी भी अब भय खाने लगे है।कोरोना के बढ़ते मामलों को लेकर सरकार की ओर से नाइट कफ्र्यू लागू किया गया है। इस मामले में पुलिस की सतर्कता और मुस्तैदी जांचने के लिए पुलिस अधीक्षक स्वयं रातों को जांचने निकल पड़ते है। वे यह पड़ताल करते है कि पुलिस स्टॉफ द्वारा ड्यूटी का सही ढंग से निर्वहन किया जा रहा है या नहीं। जिला के लोग नियमों की पालना कर रहे है या नहीं? आखिर वे कौन लोग है जो कफ्र्यू अवधि में भी सड़कों पर निकलते है? पुलिस अधीक्षक के स्वयं रात्रि में निरीक्षण करने की वजह से पुलिस अधिकारियों व कर्मचारियों में ड्यूटी के प्रति सजगता बढ़ी है। जिसकी वजह से असामाजिक तत्वों के हौंसले टूटने लगे है। पुलिस की मुस्तैदी और सतर्कता के कारण ही आमजन चैन की नींद सो पाता है। लोगों के सुकून के लिए पुलिस कप्तान डा. अर्पित जैन रात को सोने की बजाए जागने का काम करते है।
